Welcome to  the

MSA requires all exhibitors to pre-enter by our pre-entry deadlines in order to receive a pre-entry discount.  This year, the pre-entry discounts are

  • $25 per entry for rated shows (Saturdays) , and

  • $15 per entry for schooling shows (Sunday).

The Horse Show Office prefers exhibitors to send an open check with their pre-entry.  In the event this is not possible,  each pre-entry MUST be accompanied by a check for the Administrative & EMT fees, stall/tack room fees, RV fees, and Friday ship-in fees.  That's it! That's it!  It is not necessary to include class fees with your pre-entry; you can write us another check for your class fees the day of the show.

By setting an entry deadline, we are in no way prohibiting registration the day of the show.  Those competitors that register after the pre-entry deadline or the day of the show will not receive the discounts noted above.

When you arrive at the show to check-in, please note that numbers will NOT be issued (or will NOT be valid) without an signed open check lodged with the Show Secretary.  By leaving an open check with the show office, it is easier to close out competitors at the end of each show day and incorporate and adds or scratches you made throughout the day.  If you provide a completed check when you check in, you may have to provide another check to cover the fees associated with any adds or scratches made during the day.

Please submit a separate check for each show day with your pre-entry!

Our Recording Secretary, Alice Dantley, must receive your completed form and check by the Saturday that falls two weeks before the show weekend  to receive the discounted rate (Click here to view Schedule page for cut-off dates).  The mailing address for pre-entry is on the form.

Rider and Horse must be registered to receive points.

Requirements for all MSA Classes

MSA General Release of Liability - Mandatory and must be fully completed and signed.  The release is found on the reverse of each entry form.

Coggins must be current and presented at the counter or a copy on file before a rider number will be released.  MSA will only keep Coggins tests for MSA member horses on file.

Please print clearly on all forms so your information is accurately entered into our system.

Requirements for MHSA Rated Show

Entry form and release must be completed and signed.  Pre-entry discounts will only apply if your request is received by our Recording Secretary (listed on the form) on or before the Saturday, one week prior to the show weekend.

To receive points with MHSA, you must be a Maryland Horse Saddle Association member and your horse must be registered.  Please make sure you list your MHSA Rider number, MHSA Horse number, and MHSA Owner number (if applicable) in the appropriate cells on the form.  If you have submitted your forms to MHSA and have not yet received your number, please contact the MHSA office and ask them for verification.  You will be required to complete an affadavit at the show.

Coggins must be current and presented at the counter or copy on file before a rider number will be released.

Please print clearly on all forms so your information is accurately entered into our system.
